Machine learning can be a mind-boggling concept for the masses, but those who are in the trenches of computer programming know just how invaluable it is. Without machine learning, fraud detection, web search results, real-time ads on web pages, credit scoring, automation and email spam filtering wouldn’t be possible and this is only showcasing just a few of its capabilities. Written by two data science experts, Machine Learning For Dummies offers a much-needed entry point for anyone looking to use machine learning to accomplish practical tasks.

  1. Dr. Manas S

Good beginners’ book that quickly gets you started hands-on
I have read theoretical books on AI/ML; they do explain concepts but do not make you get started hands-on. This book does that. It has a few foundational chapters to cover the basics and then applies them either in R or Python. Note that you cannot be too naive in maths or understanding program flows if you intend to work in the area of AI/ML. Hence, it is good to have supplementary books on maths (basic statistics, matrix and probability) and general programming to quickly refer back. When I bought the book, thought that it is good to know two languages as well; but while reading it, felt a bit uncomfortable while switching from one example in one language to the other in another language; however, examples themselves are self-sufficient and comprehensible.

  2. MSanjeevKumar

    Easy to Understand
This book is perfect for newbies and for people with some knowledge about ML.It covers from basic to advanced topics. Plus the explanation is decent.

  3. Anmol

Good for someone who is not familiar with statistics
The book uses really good examples without using any statistical jargons which makes it an excellent choice. If you have studied CSE/IT in engineering or perhaps an MCA; this book is a good way to start Machine Learning.

  4. HILLOL DAS

    Exact book
    Practical and easily understandable

  5. vigneshwaran

Good book to get cleared about fundamentals.

  9. Artem Naumov

The “Dummies” always exceed your expectations by not only explaining complex things in a simple way, but also by giving you extra details and sufficient range of professional real-world issues that will actually make you look professional on a new topic in a typical industry-pro conversation and even a job interview. Love to recommend those books and sometimes read them myself as it is the fastest way to get a proper introduction and directions for further study.

  10. Cliente Amazon

il testo da un quadro esaustivo di ciò che si intende per machine learning.Ad una prima lettura risulta rilevante il quadro generale. E anche il modo di poter costruire con python.

  11. Ignasi Barri Vilardell

I was looking for a book that explains me well the differences between AI and Machine Learning, and inside Machine learning the different practices or areas and how these can be applied according to different business needs.I did encounter some of this, but the 80% of the book is focused on programming environments… but I do not blame the book it was my fault for not reading carefully the outline of the book.Nevertheless I guess that this is going to be a good book for those seeking more detailed or deep approach to Machine Learning.

  12. Gabriel Quintanar

Usualmente me gusta tener un “…for dummies” cuando quiero estudiar por las distintas notas y lo fácil que es de digerir. Este no es una excepción. Muy buen libro introductorio.
