This book has been clearly and concisely written as a guide for anyone wishing to harness the full potential of social media for success. The author, Dr. Kavita Kamath has done a commendable job, seamlessly blending theory with real-world examples, making complex social media concepts easy to understand.I especially loved the section on how to use hasthags effectively as this is one tool which many marketers, in my opinion, do not know how to use well. I also liked the sections on content designing and social media strategy which increased my understanding of the subject.All-in-all, an interesting read and a must-have for marketers.

I was quite surprised that MySpace wasn’t mentioned as an early 2000s social media hit. It is still a well-known and talked about program. What is really cool about this book is that it made me think about how things are marketed to me and how those affect everyday buying. Even if you aren’t in a social media or marketing job, I think this information is really important for any consumer. Knowing how things are sold to you is very valuable as it helps to understand how easy it is to be influenced by something.
